Well, Atmosphere never had a release date in the first place but I can imagine this threw quite the wrench in their plans. Not to mention that morale is down both from the community and probably within the group itself.

That is correct and is usually what I told people when they asked why did people think June 15th was the release date. After Fusee Gelee was released early after the bootrom exploit was leaked, they revealed they had planned to release Fusee Gelee and Atmosphere on the same day (June 15th) which makes sense in retrospect since Fusee Gelee would be pretty useless on its own. However, because they released it early, it meant that Atmosphere development could continue untied to anything else.
