Switch minimal required firmware version list for games (cartridge and E-shop) So the idea is actually very simple: in this list we will put the games and their minimal installed version of a certain firmware that is needed to play the game that has NO update installed.
This way you are not wasting money on buying a game that you can't play. (I had 3.0.0 and bought Pankapu and it needed to update to 3.0.2
as example)This list is for cartridge and E-shop games! Another reason for this list is to see what games you are missing out on when staying on a lower firmware.
This tread is for people that do play original legit games. Since I do not have a hacked Switch this list will only be for legit games.

We know that the required firmware on games is also packet on the cartridge. System updates are not the same as game updates. However, a game update can make your game unplayable on a lower firmware! So beware! When buying games from the E-shop you will receive the latest version... chances are that you need to update your Switch to play the game you just bought! So watch out when buying games in the E-shop. I am not responsible for any mistakes in this list, or for games that you can't play. Updates are not automatically. You always are in full control. 1. First make sure you cancel the upgrade!
2. Then press the power button and hold for about 5 seconds
3. Choose power off
4. Hold down VOL+ and VOL- and pres simultaneously the power button
5. Choose update but do not update... instead cancel the process!
6. Shut down the console and restart normally
However, when connected to the internet it will soon prompt for update.
