So I went to boot up today and I kept getting this screen. I've had this switch on cfw for a very long time and never took measures to avoid getting banned, I'm fairly sure the switch was banned so I'm not sure how it could have gotten the newest update.

anyways, I did the usual update my files thing, ive done it many times. Still, the issue was the same. I then tried a brand new SD card and did a fresh install of everything, no change.

I've also tried to select payloads and use fuse, I get the ol' "a fatal error has occured" message similar to what happens when the switch is updated but the cfw is not.

Hekate v6.1.0 menu, all of the launch options produce the unknown pkg1 version error.

Edit: upon further research I found it is possible to get fw updates on a banned swtich, im guessing this is my issue? ironic as it may sound, this is a relief form me, seeing that it takes away the likely unknown.

Just a FYI: Even if you are console banned, you can still update FW, and it will auto update if that setting is enabled in settings.
right as you posted, I discovered the thread talking about that. i dont have auto on, but its very possible my kid would have hit update. my guess is im at the mercy of Atmosphere updating.

Yes, find your jig before turn off AutoRCM, then reboot to OFW.
You are pretty much on 18.0 OFW for sure.
If you dont have emummc on older FW like 17.0.1 or lower, not much you can do at this point.
other than wait for atmosphere/hekate update, right?

But any desktop OS, I've never had anything but frustration trying to get Bluetooth devices to work reliably and stable. It might pair and connect once, and then next time I go to use it I have to delete and re-pair it again

Ran a driver update in device manager?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Not recently but I think it's less a driver issue and more just Windows having a garbage Bluetooth stack
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Could be I was having issues when I first upgraded it and didn't realiser gigabyte has specific driver revisions which is stupid

ive never had luck with built in bt transmitters. They're always in the back of the pc and signal is super crummy vs a usb bt dongle in the front of the pc,
