You need one of those cards that you mentioned and then also get an expansion pack. Personally, I have a M3 DS Real with the M3 expansion pack and an AceKard with the EZ Pass expansion pack. The EZ Pass expansion can be found here: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2967

With EDGE, DSTT or AK2, the 3in1 is pretty much the only way to go, as to use most M3 GBA Expansion features, you would need an M3DS (Real or Zero) in Slot-1. Also, the 3in1 is the one with the most widespread native support and the versatile NOR flash, which can be used for dumping, might be more useful than the large RAM and the RTC, unless you play Pokémon Emerald a lot.

You can use gba exploader 0.58b with the M3 GEP just fine. It only has 1 mode, SDRAM (equivalent to PSRAM mode for a 3in1).

If you want to dump DS games you need either a 3in1 or use the wifi method.

One of the EZ flash series is a GBA slot flash card that plays GBA and If placed in an NDS, then it could play nds games.
