I've run into a wall of boredom, and need to find something to scratch the itch

I've got 100's of RPG's in the queue, and there's not any solid sports games for the Vita that I don't already have

I'd love to find something along the lines of S.P.A.Z, or FTL, or Space Commander. I've got a couple SHMUP's that I like, so I want something a bit more...RPGish, but with a bit more action, if that makes sense

it's almost like people don't read posts, then just randomly suggest stuff. good gravy.
I dunno if that comment was directed at me or not...
Anyway, Chasm and Iconoclasts are Metroidvanias with light RPG elements. Thought they'd fit your RPGish suggestion.
The only shmups I can think of that you might consider to have RPG elements might be Skyforce Anniversary, Soldner X-2, or Project Root.
There's also Neon Chrome, which is a twin stick shooter/roguelike with RPG elements to it.

Stick some PSX games on there? PSX is pretty much the king of RPGs.

man, there's no reading comprehension in this thread at all, lol

let's try this again
I have 75317489157389 RPG's, I'm not looking for another RPG. I played all the PS1 RPG's that count 20 years ago ;)

I want to find a space exploration type game, something like SPAZ, or FTL (but more RPGish than FTL, not a rogue like)

To be honest, this is a genre that has next to no entries on Vita that I've ever heard of. If you have access to PSP games you might want to do something like Phantasy Star, just for the space theme and strong gameplay. But in terms of exploration in a ship... Starlight Inception might be your only bet. The only problem is that the game isn't... very polished. Just look up some videos and see if it's worth it to you.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
