[Manliness warning] Body-grooming and all that...

So being a middle-eastern male, hair is an invertible part of my life. I have found what is supposed to be the answer to all my problems:

The Philips body-groom. After seeing a commercial I had a drop of tear in my eye. After I bought it and used it, I was highly disappointed. The experience was painful and anything but smooth... Anyone else know a product that is like this but better?

Is it actually good? I wanted to know something similar to a razor though... They make high quality face shavers, but only a single bad body-groom...
