The Switch Pro Controller is not officially compatible with iOS 13 and neither Apple nor Nintendo seem interested in making their products compatible. If you go to Bluetooth settings on your iOS device and attempt to sync your Pro Controller to it, nothing will show up. However, if you go to Accessibility > Switch Control > Switches > Bluetooth Devices and then hold the sync button on your controller, the Pro Controller will show up. However, when you try to connect, it will connect for a split second, and then will disconnect. If you look at the lights on the controller, it appears that it first establishes the connection and then immediately shuts it down. This makes it seem that there is an issue in the Pro Controller firmware that doesn’t allow the connection to happen. So, I’m just wondering, is there way you could potentially modify the Pro Controller firmware to allow the connection to iOS devices? Thanks.
Just a note to anyone who might want to try this, the above method actually allows you to pair 8BitDo controllers to iOS devices and it works fine. It’s recognized as a DualShock 4 and you can play all games that support it.
