Mounting Wii U HDD on Windows

how can i mount a wii u hdd on windows, i found DumpsterU but it exports one title at a time and i want to export the whole filesystem, then copy it to a new hdd, because the enclosure for the first hdd died and the wii u no longer recognizes it when in the new enclosure, also would buying an identical enclosure make it work on the Wii u again?

wfs extract may be able to do it, but it's cmd line. iirc, it will extract all the mlc, and I know it works for usb, just need otp and seeprom. with mlc, you just need the otp.

Maybe its possible with this WFS Tool.
Its for commandline, but maybe possible to dump the hole drive. Because by default the wfs-extract dump-path is set to / (root) .

Enclosure are like flashdrives always pain. If you get the identical again, it might work.

honestly wish we could install games to the hard drive directly from pc, kinda like the 3ds. (granted it would need a additional program on the sd card to import the missing tickets)

i found the command to export the hdd content and it works, tried copying a game to the new hdd and it worked, plays fine, only problem is the slow transfer speed, took me ten minutes to copy a 500mb game, will probably take me 20 days to copy 930gb.

I dont know what you kind of drive and enclosure you use. Check if the enclosure have USB3.0 Specification to use it on this port. And if the drive is sata II (300 MB/s) or better sata III (600 MB/s).

its the ftp transfer that's slow, not usb

WiiU uses the encrypted WFS (WiiU File System) and not WBFS (Wii Backup File Systeme). WBFS is for (v)Wii and an outdated inofficial fat32 based filesystem, to work with the cios. Its from the early days of the USB-Loaders, as they didnt had any clue how to make filesystems to work like fat32 or ntfs.

cant inject files into the drive. as far as i know

You used here the command to dump a drive under Windows. It also says here use Powershell Command Get-WmiObject Win32_DiskDrive to find your Drive.

I used two hard drive, one with the game and one empty, then i used usb hub with power port, then just copy the game in data management..

Sometimes its even less of a hassle to load them again with USBHelper or NUSspli... Lost my HDD files several times.
