My switch is banned, is there any way to update games?

I just bought this switch, and it's online banned. Is there any way I can get updates to games? I bought it mainly to mod smash and play some cool stuff, but it says I have to download an update to be able to run the game, but I can't because of the online ban. Any ideas?
