my vita just had the stick drift issue

Replace the joy stick.

there's not much you can do to fix other than taking it apart, clean and inspecting it. the internals will eventually wear due to age.

A comment I found on reddit "I used wd-40 electrical contact cleaner to fix my vita's drift. Underneath the analog there's a flap, spray it inside that and it should fix the drift... it did for my vita. Though it's kinda scary to recommend since it's liquid on electrical component".

as long as the board doesnt have power and you dont put it on plastic or adheessive nothing will happen i regulary clean old board with IPA (isopropylalcohol)

u could also use ipa to refresh old console cases especcially when they came from a smoker home

You can find on YT a vid about replacing both joysticks using those driftless ones for the joycons from Gulikit, that would be a long therm solution.

Also this sounds stupid but you can use a straw to blow into the sticks.
