New Skyrim version for Switch, first Nintendo game for $70

Did you wish for yet another version for a 10+ years old game?
Well, whether you did or not, you're gonna get it... again.

But this time, there's a little caveat.
While the Anniversary Edition seems to offer almost every add-on available for Skyrim in a single package, alongside some new Creation Club content, the price tag for the new version becomes the very first Nintendo game to be offered at a full price tag of $70 and, according to Nintendo's site, seems to be a digital only release at the moment of writing.

While users can still purchase the previous version of Skyrim on Switch for $60 (which hasn't lowered in price since release), the new exclusive Anniversary Edition currently sits at the new full $70 dollars price tag.
It is currently unknown if other devs, or if even Nintendo themselves, will start releasing games for this new full price of $70 for Nintendo or other consoles going forward, but most likely this will be an inevitable event to unfold in the near future.

I don't know what's worse: the fact that Bethesda thought they could get away with charging $70 for Skyrim, AGAIN, or that people will probably buy this.
How about the fact that the base version is STILL $60?

This* is 3rd party tradition on N consoles. Either Nintendo is charging 3rd parties to much or ... don´t know.

*less content or same content but more expensive than on other platforms

Reselling isn't the issue. It's the price. l'm not paying that price for any game that's not even a collection. Only good thing about this is, one more knock against the "higher budget" excuse.

Lol this awful rebake costing 70 dollars? It should cost at max 20. This version shouldn't even exist to be fair, it's a cash grab like the special edition (like anything tes related these days), it only breaks mods on PC and adds some bs nobody cares.

As long as people keeps buying into this type crap, they will keep re-releasing this game into different platforms. As an aside, it's possible Bethesda is taking whatever money they can get from this and all their re-releases to fund Elder Scrolls 6.

Nintendo surely is in it (the 70$ price tag).
And why would anyone get this (or the previous version) when there are much better options out there, is beyond me.
The idea of bringing "Skyrim" to a handheld device (the Switch) was interesting when it first launched for the system in 2017. Not sure why this exists, and why they didn't offer an upgrade option for those who own the previous version..
