Hacking No way to burn wii u disks I own to HDD?

I tried it, have powered USB HDD, got an error.

Here is what I did:
Followed this link,

ripped my wii party disc as a test
It installed on my SD card under instal/WUP-P-ANXE and there are a bunch of .app files in there
I then followed this link: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-wup-installer-gx2-rpx-channel.456199/
installed and formated a HDD
ran the WUPinstaler GX to go to USB and got the following message after 98% complete


Install failed.
WUP-P-ANXE
Verify WUP files are correct complere. DLC/E-shop requre Sig patch.

What step did i miss?

You did everything right, I don't know. Did you try more than once or just once? If just once, retry it.

Actually try this if you didn't already.

Run Haxchi (I'm assuming you don't have coldboot haxchi)
Run Homebrew Launcher
Run WUP Installer GX and retry it.

I have no idea about that particular game so maybe it requires sig patches and running Haxchi would give you that.

If all of that fails I have no clue, try another game maybe because you're doing the basics correctly.

It's been awhile since I've installed a game on Wii U I forgot you're probably using Haxchi to get to homebrew launcher automatically. If you are running Haxchi already I'm not sure your problem unless the disc has a scratch or something. I'd try another game.

I am using wup installer GX2, does that make a difference?

I tried again, same game, will try different game. I used Haxchi which goes into hombrew launcher then I used the tool. Same results.

Sounds like a bad rip, what is the discs condition?
