Yes you are correct. But make sure you rip your own game and apply the patch to the game. Don't use the auto patcher app. It significantly increases the loading times to almost unplayable.

After a lot of searching and posts I found 1 person to exchange friend codes with and we were successfully able to visit each others towns. I'm actually in the process of writing a guide to help people patch there games and connect online. It's not quite ready yet but if you need the help I can walk you through it.

Thanks man. Unfortunately, I don't own a hard copy of the game, so I think I'm out of luck.

It's best to rip the game yourself and patch it but if you already have a copy of the game then just run it through the Wiimmfi Patcher program and you should be good.

I created a friend code exchange on the official Wiimmfi Forum site located here (http://forum.wii-homebrew.com/index...o-the-City-Friend-Code-Exchange-on-the-Wiimm/). Go there and post your friend code as well as add everyone else who is there. Also, download a smart phone chat app called KIK and send me (Clutz450) a message. I'll add you to the group chat I have going with the other people who play City Folk online.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
