Having a bit of a weird issue with mine (V2 Mariko).
Upon power on I get the blue then cyan (clicking reset gives the same result) then OFW starts to boot BUT, if I click reset during the "Nintendo Switch" logo screen, it starts to glitch and loads hekate fine.

So my question is, why is it not attempting to glitch upon power on, only when i reset during the NX splash screen, anyone had similar?

So, which and how many parts to I need for a Switch Lite and Switch OLED?
I do already got four RP2040-Zeros when this type of Mod was announced first but never looked deeper into it until now.
20230401_201904.jpg

The Guide tells I need "SMD 8050 47 to 50 ohm Resistors". Do I need 47 AND 50 ohm Resisters or would 47 ohm Resistors be enough? How many do I need?
I found these on Reichelt.de, would this be the correct ones?

I also found this IRFHS8342 MOSFET on Reichelt.de, would be this the correct one?
When it comes to " cpu flex cable", which one would you suggest? Could you send me a link to it? (would need one for my Lite switch and one for my OLED Switch)

Thank you very much in advance
Yes, and yes.
You need no flex cable if you buy the mosfet and solder those with wire to the CPU caps.
It's mosfets OR the flex cable.

The flex cable seems to be easier to install, or did I understand that wrong?
I think I'd prefer using the cable if that's the case.
Can you maybe tell me where I can find these (or maybe link me one compatible with the OLED and one for the Lite?`)

Only place I know of is aliexpress, so you're looking at 10+ days of wait time.

Well, the Aliexpress pages are too cryptic for me
They use a lot of buzz words and photos of a product that "may" fit my needs, but I still don't know which I can buy for my Switch Lite and which I can buy for my OLED Switch for sure :S

Could you send me a link to the ones I will need for my to Switches? That'd be awesome!

Also somehow the Guide doesn't really seem to "Guide" me through the process. It for example doesn't show me where to use the 47ohm resistors... Or am I blind?

The resistors are mounted on the rpi2040. Look at the images/solder points bottom image.

Can't send you a link, since I don't use any flex cables myself. But "core" is the v1/v2 models, you want oled and lite.

it shows u where to use them and that is on the rp zero
for lite and oled u need v2 cables and for oled u also need a dat 0 connector but not all of them are reliable should go with the 4 anchor one or reball ur emmc and make a straight connection to ur dat0 point

Buy a instinct chip if you want a full kit right now, otherwise order from seperate places around the net, or wait for some pre-done boards to come out.
I also recommend the flex over the bare mosfets

Check my post above......
well i checked but there is no clear understanding what exactly should i solder
you removed 2 cap i understand that much from you're pic
but i dont get mosfet points at all
the purple color in this pic are under mosfet points (my understanding if im wrong tell to fix for others) , greens are points that soldered , qustion marks are what pionts exactly

well i mean it should be self explaining , u solder the caps to the solder point on the mosfet like in the picture
u dont have to remove the cap on the right mosfet if u set the mosfet so it fits
u showed the connection point in purple from the mosfet u connect them to the green point on the caps it shouldnt be that hard picture is self explaining

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
