After a lot of troubleshooting I'm sure the problem is when I choose "yes" when the console asks me if I want to use the gamepad; I need to press yes to be able to play the Gamecube game at all obviously. Choosing "no" doesn't make the console turn off. The problem is not the HDD, anything installed on it nor on the SD card. I'm sure of that.
Whats very weird is that a couple of years back I had succesfully installed and played Resident Evil for the gamecube on my Wii U via an inject and I don't remember having this issue at all. I don't really know what has changed. Perhaps having installed Tiramisu instead of Haxchi is the problem?
