PlayStation Classics games reportedly begin showing up on PSN backend

kopgdkofdskogdkop.png

As you should be well aware now, Sony is changing PlayStation Plus. The highest tier, Premium, will feature "classic" titles from PlayStation's beloved library of older consoles; what we don't know is which games will be a part of the service. A new leak might give us some insight, though, and some possible ideas of what to expect from PlayStation. Three titles have appeared on the PlayStation Network backend, according to a Reddit user, complete with cover art images, concept IDs, and title IDs. Those three games are Mr. Driller, Ridge Racers 2, and Tekken 2. Given that the images are being hosted by PlayStation, the leak appears to be fairly definitive--for now, nothing is fully confirmed.

Star Ocean 2 please... god damn it.
I thought about buying star ocean 4 on the ps5/4, but it's too costly for my blood. I like the blood on the keys, battle theme, but the game itself sucks so much ass. I think I beat it on the 360, and the last boss was hard as fuck.

I think the ps1 probably is due to there only being one emulator: medievil. it's one of my favorite games, the only game I bought after playing a demo in the store. I bought it at that same store. I recently bought it for the ps4/5, the remastered version, but it seemed kinda costly for a ps1 game.

I don't know of a psp emulator, but the main emulators for ps2 are rogue galaxy and Jak X, ps1 is medievil, and saturn is cotton. the latter two only have one emulator each, but I think cotton has pretty good compatibility, at least from what I've read.

I’m just glad ridge racer is getting talked about!
I hope there will be trophies etc
Or even a new ridge racer game from scratch

Namco have certainly flushed this gem down the bog

You're confusing it with the fifth one, THAT one sucks ass.

It will be very good if we can buy PS1, PS2 and PSP games individually as it was on PSP, PSVita and PS3 (and as it is on Xbox Series X with Xbox and Xbox 360 games), being exclusive to the service doesn't seem like a good choice to me.

I just wish we had real backwards compatibility, that we could insert the PS1 (or PS2) game disc and play without any issues.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
