ROM hack of: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon (3DS)



Pokémon Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon are mods for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Like my Rutile Ruby & Star Sapphire hacks and my Nova Sun & Umbra Moon hacks, their main purpose is to provide a more challenging game experience while not artificially limiting the player. The premier feature of Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon is the ground-up redesign of Pokémon Trainers in the world to increase the game's challenge. Every trainer in the game has been edited, and the level curve expects use of the Experience Share, which means that the player levels up very quickly. Every Pokémon in Trainers' teams has a a proper moveset and many are holding items. The Elite Four and Champion are Level 100, and the player doesn't need to grind to equal that!

Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon's secondary focus is inspired by Super Smash Bros. Melee's "20XX Hack Pack" which is designed to improve competitive players' ability to practice and grind. In Supernova Sun and Penumbra Moon's Legit Build, everything obtainable is 100% legal and legitimate for real online battles or trades. In all Builds, some features are designed to make preparing competitive teams much less of a hassle. Competitive hold items are much more available, a 6IV Ditto is available through an in-game trade (holding a Destiny Knot), Eggs hatch in one cycle, and Level 100 Memento Blissey battles are available in the Battle Buffet once the main story has been beaten.​

I believe im using legal pokemon cuz i bred 2 hacked pokemon from the game and put the offspring of it in the wonder trade making it a legal pokemon and still giving me this errors.. Or i am wrong with the info making a legal pokemon through breeding 2 hacked pokemons.
1. That's not what makes them legal.
2. You're going to get banned going online lol

1. Actually, the offspring of two hacked pokemon is generally legal, barring relearn move shenanigans and illegal pokeballs.
2. No reports of bans for going online with Rutile Ruby, Star Sapphire, Nova Sun, or Umbra Moon have been reported.

Stop spreading misinformation.

1. Transferring from a rom hack without using PKSM's bank isn't advised and you as a modder should be vocal about it.
2. No reports of bans because no one goes online with them if you have any idea what you're doing - thus the warning.
Improper use of CFW will result in the ban, not your hacks... that's not misinformation.
If you're going to go as far as to breed a Pokemon with 2 hacked mons and then trade them over the internet with your CFW 3DS, you might as well just use PKSM to gen them in 20 seconds, them be legal, and you not risking a ban.
Some people may be uneducated and take their chances online but that doesn't stop us from letting them know what they are doing is not a good way to go about it.
So... no. I will not stop letting CFW users know that taking it online in games is not recommended, especially when you are using a romhack.

i need a download for the file without the .txt file for the drag & drop instructions. it is preventing me from extracting the files to the "extra files" folder. please i need this.

Which no outline patch is OP using in video? i am using one but it makes the title screen necrozma disappear(the bottom title screen is gray) .

Delete the file yourself? A text file shouldn't prevent you from extracting files. It sounds like a major problem with your computer or hard drive.

Bottom title screen being gray is because the intro movie is altered to include the ROM hack title, nothing to do with the outline pack.

I cannot find Nincada and Weedle on Route 1 (anymore).
I only saw a Nincada once in the grass patch left of Iki Town gate, during the event of the festival, when it is always dusk and I was going to battle Hau the second time. This is when I still had version 1.0.1

Now I am version 1.0.2, and as I check all the grass in Route 1, I can only find Wurmple instead.
I check in the text file of wild encounter and Wurmple is not in the same place with Nincada/Weedle.

Turns out it was a problem with my laptop. i was able to get the files i needed on a different computer

Switch Mode is extremely powerful, and removing the knowledge of incoming Pokémon makes it a lot more balanced without removing the ability to switch, since his hacks are balanced around Set Mode. Personally, ever since I played Rutile Ruby/Star Sapphire, I found myself wanting it this way instead of like the vanilla games. It's a lot more interesting.

What I'm saying is, give it a shot. The hack is made to be both fun and as difficult as it can without being "Kaizo", if that makes sense.

Any Idea when the location of the pokemon in the expanded game will be put it a better format

Whe're you first have to error, just to see what pkmn you're facing, then you can reorder/prepare your team and try. I personally see little fun in that. Even in online fights you can see your opponents team. Rutile Ruby/Star Sapphire are fine like they are now, challenging without frustrating.

  • RRSS hide incoming Pokémon in Switch Mode, just like this hack. That's literally the reason I mentioned it.
  • Online modes are Set Mode, and that's an awful comparison to make. Even if you know your opponent's team, you don't know what they're sending in, and you can't switch out. You're better off playing Set Mode if that's the way you want it.

I have a problem..
I played NovaSun, and I transferred my main team at level 1 after obtain an egg of each pokemon with ditto in the farm.

The problem is that the transfered pokemon don't obey.. this is a normal condition from the original game and I need to take the kahuna test to they obey..
But (I'm playing the expanded build) the lv is increasing quickly.. and I finished the first kahuna and the obey limit now is 35 and my pokemon are around 30 lv....

Is possible to modify that?.. is a kind of annoying if your pokemons don't obey you constantly..

The problem is that they were hatched in Nova Sun, instead of in Supernova/Penumbra. Their original trainer is the Nova Sun character.

Use PKHeX or PKSM to match your team's TID, SID and OT with your Ultra player character. They'll obey, and it'll drop them to normal EXP gains, so they won't level up so fast.

  • RRSS did not hide it until 2.1. I never updated past 1.3.(didn't even realise it was still updatet lul)
  • And of course you don't know which pokemon your opponent picks in a online battle. But you're not completly blind, you get at least an of idea whats coming, that's what i meant. Playing in set mode would change pretty much nothing compared to now.

But back to my original question, is it hard to change/remove?
