Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass reveal gives us a launch date for The Crown Tundra DLC

1VXmIph.png

The Pokemon Company has given us new footage for the latest additions slated to be added to Pokemon Sword and Shield's The Crown Tundra DLC pack. In this new area, you'll get to explore a snowy part of Galar, which contains many legendary Pokemon, in fact, every old legendary is available to catch. You'll find them in Dynamax Adventures. You can team up with up to 4 players to explore caves with lots of rare Pokemon.

There's also a new Galarian Star Tournament, where you'll take on the best trainers in pairs, through double battles with a partner.

The Crown Tundra launches October 22nd, while a physical pack in edition containing the game plus the DLC on cart will launch on November 6th.

Passwords will be revealed on the Pokemon site to give you special Pikachu, like ones with Ash's hat. Enter PIKACHUGET to get a free Pikachu in Sword and Shield.

Pokemon Home is getting a new update to allow you to move Meltan to Sword and Shield, as well as other creatures caught in Pokemon Go. This update will go live before the end of the year, and players will get a Gigantamax Melmetal.

it was honestly boring, i completely forgot about this game, the only thing that got my attention more - got me excited was the fact that the modding community fixed the entire game; made it more interesting, now that i stopped checking up on it..i forgot it existed lmao, this direct was just eh...the animated music video was just a desperate move tbh. cause that was extremely off/random of them to do this.

i am pretty sure they know the game is crappy, i also feel like the 'selling more' shiet was possibly rigged e_e ...i don't believe a game that has been called out to be garbage, has been tried by people who left it - sold allot -it feels off but what do i know? . ..can't really expect pokemon sword to go anywhere honestly...
the pokemon go thing had me laughing tho. now i want to make this clear; i do love pokemon games, this one was just a major disappointment.

Will we finally have all the Pokémon in the game?

I really don't give a damn about the news, I just want to be able to play with my Typhlosion again, I keep it in every new game in the series since SoulSilver.

Who actually cares, pokemon got boring ages ago, now they cant be arsed to design them, they look daft.

Sure they just have a randomiser and with click of a button it generates a new pokemon.
I would disagree and defend the franchise at all costs if it were a few years ago.

But nowadays after GameFreak's neglect with Sword / Shield I really can't do that anymore, what saddens me is that as long as the franchise continues to sell well they probably won't mind trying harder to improve on the games.

I even started playing Temtem and Digimon and ended up having a lot more fun.

This not only started out as the most expensive main-series Pokemon game to date (and didn't deserve that kind of price in my opinion), but is potentially going to become the most expensive first(ish) party game to come from Nintendo with all these expansions adding desperately needed features and Pokemon..

And we had to learn Braille, those were actually fun times.
Not really; if you bought them from the store, they came with Braille print-outs just for those puzzles. Which was weird for FRLG players, since the Braille's saved for the postgame Sevii Islands there - so the first time you reach the credits and see "Braille Consultant" in them, you're thinking, "what Braille?"

you able to unlock your bootloader and run magisk?
Niantic abuses the use of certain error messages to find out if you even have the Magisk directories or files at all, and arbitrarily blocks you; yes, even if you have those files on an external SD card. It's scummy as shit, and I'm just as pissed that Google nor Apple have done anything about it.

Then again, I'm salty as fuck that I can't load Go anymore on any rooted phone, but my idiot brother on his iPhone can spoof locations and do all the stuff that Niantic accuses rooters of doing without having to jailbreak his apple unit. I don't even do or touch any of that; I root specifically so I can system-wide ad-block in a way that stock Android won't let me do.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
