Yea i knew it wasn't compatible with gateway, I asked because they would surely make the Minimum firmware required for PokemonXY the same as the Pokemon XY themed 3DS Xl's.

naa the demo start up screen says demo on it. also, you dont pick your pokemon in the demo

I'm sure you have heard of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, which are planned to release worldwide on October 12th of this year. Over 10 years of collaboration and hard work have gone into making a game that everybody could enjoy and be surprised simultaneously.

We at Nintendo have a very unfortunate piece of information to share with you today. Due to leaked content from earlier to finished versions of the game, we can no longer guarantee that the planned simultaneous release will have the same effect as intended. Therefore, we have decided to release Pokemon X and Pokemon Y first in Japan on October 12th, then to the rest of the world on March 27th of next year.
