Psh this coming from they guy who got his ass handed to him by everyone and it was YOUR tournament
I'm hoping the next tournament is singles rather than doubles. I've just spent the last 2 weeks breeding and training my singles team, it would suck in multi battles though.

Really? Double/Triple battles are much more fun for me than 1v1s. I really with there were more D/T battles in the game normally, would be so much fun.
This is probably more the case in 3v3 singles matches, where it can come down to luck if you pick the right 3 pokemon to send in, but in 6v6 this is definitely not the case. If you go into a 6v6 match with 6 fast sweepers a decent player will beat you 90% of the time. Not giving too much away but I have only got 2 fast sweepers in my new team and I have won all of the 15 or so matches I have played so far online. (I'm always up for a battle btw if anybody reading this wants one!)I personally prefer doubles as with singles, if you throw out the wrong pokemon 1st, that can be your game done before it even begins
Also things like speed boost blaziken and basically speed altogether becomes alot more of a deep issue.
Obviously I would prefer it if were a singles tournament, but if more people would like a doubles tournament I will go along with that. I would need a couple of weeks notice though so I can build a purpose built doubles team. In fact I might just build one anyway, just in case. But honestly its up to you all, I feel doubles is the most balanced but singles can be done if you want it
Black-Ice
well, not just def/sp.def stats...the choice of move sets.
i was surprised participants did not run teams with protect, wide guard, etc in a double battle tournament.
also...it seems that the majority opted out of trick room for speed and choice scarfs.
everyone did great with the teams they used...but i believe, in the next GBATemp double tournament, entrants will have more concrete planning with their team.
