Hm... Probably Raspberries? I don't really like the way Strawberries taste on their own, but I do like how Raspberries taste on their own.
We had a Raspberry bush in our backyard at our last house.

just a random off topic thread. what berry do you prefer over the other?
Neither 'cos Strawberries and raspberries aren't really berries in the botanical sense.
They are derived from a single flower with more than one ovary, making them an aggregate fruit.

True berries are simple fruits stemming from one flower with one ovary and typically have several seeds.
Tomatoes fall into this group, as do pomegranates, kiwis and—believe it or not—bananas :creep:

(yeah, I know... too much time on my hands :ha: )

Is this some unlicensed GBAchef I see? Also despite CannonFoddr's attempt I will not be getting into the berries, epignyous, compound and drupes debate.

A good version of either will beat a bad version of the other. Neither are the superior form of berry as a whole either -- blue, black, logan, elder all do various things far better. As a rule of thumb I prefer the northern European varieties of these berries -- those coming from Spain, Portugal and various parts of Africa do not do so well for me as those from various parts of the UK or the Nordic countries in my opinion -- the souther European stuff tends to be larger but not taste quite as strong.

Raw. A reckon a good raspberry, they seem to last longer in the fridge as well.
Jam. Raspberry again if I am not making it myself. Can't decide if I have made it myself.
Cheesecake. Raspberry I reckon.
Frozen/dried. Raspberry.
In jelly (UK definition), I am going with strawberry here.
In a pastry case, whether that makes it a tart, a flan (note again it is something of a UK specific term where other places might call what I would know as a flan a crème caramel) I will leave as an exercise to the others reading), I am going with strawberry again. Though a very well made raspberry one will doubtless edge it out.
In booze... never tried any raspberry booze come to think of it. Never tried a strawberry one I liked.

Good strawberries are better than raspberries, raspberries are better than bad strawberries. Good strawberries are very hard to find. So on average I'd say I prefer strawberries :P

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.
