hey are there any cheats for thesimpsosn game?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but i cant seem to get the cheat file to work. I put it in the root directory of my R4 then when i go to open a game there's no options for any cheats. I do have games on my R4 that are compatible with the cheats. Can anyone help?? I have renamed my games so the original names for the files are different if that makes a difference. Thanks for the help.

The file doesn't go in the root of the card, it goes in the _system_ folder.

What you name the files doesn't matter, it's the GameID of the file that matters. You shouldn't have to worry about that.

Hmmm i don't have a system folder. lol. I just have everything in the root of the card.

EDIT: Ok i have it working now, i didnt have a system folder on my card. All sweet now. Thanks for your help

@ Rayder: noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! you can't leave, I always relied on your cheat to get me through some games. It's always so reliable and complete, and accessible too.

Some people said some cheats weren't working because of a possible outdated R4 implementation of the AR engine. On Yasu's page I found a bugfix program for the 1.11 cheat kernel. Maybe that fixes the issues? Here's a link to a prepatched 1.11 _DS_MENU.DAT:

Lol, no I haven't. I haven't had any real cheat issues either though, except for Zelda's ship parts cheat. I guess most people here don't use this bugfix, as it was never really announced anywhere afaik.

No, a patch for version 1.11 of _DS_MENU.DAT. So people with cheat issues should try to use that patch or the prepatched 1.11 kernel I posted a link to as it'll probably fix the issue.
