An incorrectly entered license key or email address will cause the authentication error; be sure the license key and the email address are entered completely and correctly.
The letter “O” and number “0” are easily confused, and if the software license key was previously registered to a different email address, the original registration email address must be usedwhen re-installing the software.
During the initial setup of the Power Saves software, if a license key was entered with no email address, the key will be listed as “unassigned” in the Power Saves database. This will also cause the authentication error. To resolve this, please reset the software registration by performing these steps:
- Close the Power Saves Software.
- Locate the Powersaves3DS.xml file on your PC
Default location: C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Powersaves3DS
- Delete the Powersaves3DS.xml file.
- Open the Power Saves software and enter BOTH your license key and an email address you would like the key registered to.
- Click OK.
- Close the Power Saves software and re-open it.
If this does not remedy the issue, please provide the license key and email address you are using when the error occurs.
