The first step into achieving it is read, get information about the process and the most important part is follow the steps carefully and don't take anything for granted.

At this stage, it requires a re-apply after every reboot so if you aren't capable of modding it the first time, it will be a waste of money for you.

The only cost associated should be buying a ps4 under or at 4.05 fw. after that everything is freely available.

Yeah, plus unlike the 3DS if you don't follow a guide correctly most problems can be fixed with a simple firmware reinstall. Unless it's a guide that involves the flash files, then you have to be a little careful, but even then it's not as bad as the 3DS.

At first most guides and tools will be hard, but you will learn and it will get easier as you go on.

Not even that complicated, barring mistakenly upgrading. Not sure how 3DS became involved in this discussion but with the PS4, if you screw something up, simply reboot the console and you're basically back to normal as the exploit needs to be re-applied on every reboot anyways.

Why would you self host the wii u when we have a cold boot?

If you have an old wireless router sitting around then $13 is the next cheapest option with a $10 rpi
