Urgh, still get that "nstallation of required data failed, please restart the program!" error with multiman. I installed the base 4.81.2 version. Is it compatible with 4.82 Ferrox ? Or do I need to downgrade ?

Update your PS3 to 4.82 (If you haven't already)
Confirm your flash drive has flsh.hex on root of the drive
Backup NOR 4.xx First.
Then after it reboots
go back to the same site
then use the flash writer for NOR 4.82
press the write to NOR flash
If it says failed wait a while and it will restart itself.
If it fails and the system locks up, hard reboot.
But if it says success do not touch anything until the console reboots.

It runs fine on ferrox. I just skip those 4 pages of information then it copy's some stuff to hard drive then boots up with that great music in the background.

So I am having some issues. I have tried 4 different flash drives with everything set up correctly but always get the error message. i have been doing this for about an hour now. so many refeshses and clearing history.. And i have slim 2001A on 4.82

Make sure you start from a blank page and that you have no other pages open
