No. That won't work, SSL is used to prevent that. And even if you could it'd take the S(security) out of SSL.Well this sucks.
Is the only solution to this creating a middleman server that supports TLSv1/1.1, and forwarding the requests so the 3DS can download from the middleman?
You may not but 75% of the people that followed plailects guide willwell this is unfortunate. Hopefully devs can find a way to mitigate this problem, not that I have that big an issue with manually updating things
We use a WAF to protect our older servers running SSL 3.0 since they don't support TLS 1.2 but since we have the private key for the cert on the WAF we are able to do a middleman setup for it.No. That won't work, SSL is used to prevent that. but I think it could be possible by using mbedTLS and libcurl? No.

lol sameLOL, is that why I'm getting SSL errors with Cydia on my iPhone? It's only the github repos.
No, to both. It just means that any homebrew app you have will have to be updated manually.Does this mean that any newer games wont be released on freeshop? But it still will be possible to download games that are in the current library?

It is, but the library doesn't even exist yet. It's just example code for curl right now
If you meant Luma Updater, there's a fix in the works, but I can't test that fix until the service goes down. Here's hoping Luma gets an update to fix this. If I am correct it should be possible to fix with cfw if someone had the know how to do it. I certainly don't.
I meant more like a cfw patch of some sort that could universally fix it rather than each homebrew having to implement their own fixes. I don't even know how possible that would be, if at all.If you meant Luma Updater, there's a fix in the works, but I can't test that fix until the service goes down.
