Gaming PSN Store back or lied to as always?

I'm not able to get downloading yet. Hopefully the middle of the night will prove more successful.

I was a bit shocked when I found out all these so-called 'free games' are actually free game RENTALS. Sony's big 'sorry we f*cked up' package is nothing more than promotion for their premium service (which I imagine will do rather well out of this).
As you don't get to keep the games, it seems harsh that they didn't offer more choice.

Well my games are downloading. As planned I went for Wipeout HD Fury (which is great) and Infamous, which better be great 'cause it'll take the entire night to download. As soon as that's done I can swap over to my US account and steal some more stuff.

I did encounter one irritation though. The 30 free days of PS+. If for example I download Magic the Gathering, currently free on the PS+ service, if I've read the terms correctly it's only free for those 30 days, after which I have to pay for it or delete it. Fail.

EDIT: Whoomph, it's only stuff downloaded via the PS+ service which is a free trial. The PS3 games are yours to keep, permenantly. Says so on the press release posted a few pages back.

Yeah, it just sucks 'cause I actually bought a PSN Card today with intentions of buying stuff and now I went to put my card number in, and it gave an error. Then, i tried again, and it says the card is not valid. . .

Does EU PSN have Streets of Rage 2 as a free game for PSN+ users?

It sure does but as mentioned before PSN+ content only is only playable while your subscription lasts.

Yep. Actually, it'll only last till then end of a "PS Plus" month. All current downloads will stop working after the 7th of this month, and will get replaced with new content.

I guess I'm just paranoid but the fact that when I do get it working it says "This cannot be accessed by your account" makes me think I don't get PS+ and my theory is that because I got my PS3 AFTER the outage happened and I became a member the day service was restored, it wont work for me.

I hope that's not the case.

On another note, my TV is not a super big screen HDTV so. . . I can't even read the instructions to get the 2 free games. If anyone knows them, can they post them here?

EDIT: Just found out. because I registered AFTER the outage, I don't get anything. . . wow. I'm actually really upset.

I cant log in on PSN. First it gave me that 80A... error and now it says server is undergoing maintanance. Heavily loaded! lol
