Hardware PSP stops charging when I move the charger to the right.

So my psp will stop charging if i move the charger to the left and sometimes resets the console. Do you think its a dirty connector or is my connector bust? My psp will still charge if I don't move it but I like to play on the charger when my battery gets low.

Loose socket, most likely... though "resets the console" points to a short somewhere...

Replacement sockets are single digit cost on ebay, worth trying a replacement

We're talking about a regular PSP, not a Go, right?

You can get them for very cheap if you're willing to wait a few weeks. Here's an example for replacements for the PSP 1000, 2000 and 3000 series:
