I want to try TikDevil or CIAngel but I have my doubts. Can I clean my ticket.db after somehow I wanted them to be gone for specific reasons? If so how? Is there an easy way to delete all of them at once? I tried searching but all I can see are speculations and no definite answers. Thanks

It would have to be one by one since you would end up deleting the tickets for your system titles and would brick.

He's not talking about deleting tickets. He's talking about cleaning ticket.db
That can't be cleaned

I tested this the other day and it does seem to work from what I can tell you can remove the ticket and proceed to purchase the game from the eShop.
It works, ticket-deleted game can be repurchased from eShop, however ticket that we deleted doesn't disappear forever in CDN-FX (GroovyCIA).

Here is the difference that people seem to confuse.

The ticket is removed from the system, but it is NOT removed from ticket.db.. That's why you still see them on apps like CDN-FX

Last I checked it doesn't delete it from ticket.db, but it does mark it for removal so when you buy something new it overwrites it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

Not sure I completely get what you are saying. So just to clarify:

So lets say I have ticket A, B and C on my ticket.db .. I went ahead and deleted those via FBI, then proceeded with eshop and bought and installed anything (ticket D)

So now my ticket.db does not have A, B and C anymore, but has D?

More like you have ticket A, and you "delet" this. Although it is only actually deleted when you download a new game through eShop, which we can say is ticket B. Ticket B becomes Ticket A in a way, meaning the new one overwrote the first ticket.

Interesting.. Never heard about that before. Last I heard, the db was not touched. I should do some tests on that.

Thanks!

All I know is that after I deleted the ticket it no longer allowed me to download it from the eshop. Please note this was a regularly installed legit cia not a ticket hack.

Instead of trying to figure out how to clean it afterwards how about thinking how to keep it clean in the first place. DO NOT do a mass install of all tickets. That is the first and foremost thing to remember.

Now if you absolutely want to keep a clean ticket I suggest backing up your ticket with Decrypt9 before you even think about doing anything else. This way if you want to remove any tickets you have installed you can just replace your ticket.db with your backup.

TL;DR Prevent clutter in the first place by using D9.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
