I just use a raspberry pi to act as a web server, you can alternately use an Android phone. Just look for self host

I got it set up on my android with the correct jailbreak files and it works but I still get a update message

I used the web server address as DNS.

Is that the correct way?

I would be very grateful for a short explanation how you configure the webserver on the ps4 once it it up on android (I got that part)

Thank you

You need to delete the update file and stay offline

If you have an old Android phone thats not on a network as well as an old router thats the best combo. If the Android phone is active put it in airplane mode with wifi on an old router

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@seanp2500 I just found a thing in ps homebrew discord, look at this:

Here is a quick guide i made for budling game updates in PKGs..
Game Update PKG

Needed: PKG Kitchen 1.3, Offline Update PKG ≤4.05

1: Insert game disc and install
2: Exploit idc, xvortex ftp payload
3: Dump 4 files from system_data/priv/appmeta/CUSAxxxxx/* to dump\appmeta\ (Must get these files before update)
4: Exit title/ftp, reboot, exploit xvortex, install sony game update pkg (This will be the hardest step, obtaining offline 4.05 updates)
5: Check for update to game on information screen
6: Reboot, exploit idc, xvortex ftp payload, minimize, load game, connect ftp
7: Dump /user/app/CUSAxxxxx/app.pkg -> dump\pkg
/mnt/sandbox/pfsmnt/CUSAxxxxx-app0-nest/pfs_image.dat -> dump\pfs\
/mnt/sandbox/pfsmnt/CUSAxxxxx-patch0-nest/pfs_image.dat, RENAME pfs_image2.dat -> dump\pfs\
/mnt/sandbox/pfsmnt/CUSAxxxxx-patch0/eboot.bin -> dump\app\
/mnt/sandbox/pfsmnt/CUSAxxxxx-patch0/sce_module/* -> dump\app\sce_module\
8: Reboot, remove disc, and delete game and all game data
9: Run _extract_pkg.bat and wait for success
10: Open /tools ArchiveExplorer.exe and open dump\pfs\pfs_image.dat and extract all to \app\
11: Open dump\pfs\pfs_image2.dat and extract all and overwrite to \app\
12: Copy and overwrite dump\app* to \app\
13: Copy and overwrite dump\appmeta* to \app\sce_sys\
14: Run _gen_gp4.bat and wait for success
15: Open CUSAxxxxx.gp4 with /tools/orbis-pub-gen.exe and go to Command, Build Image, select save location and build.
16: Turn on PS4, load xvortex exploit, install new PKG with bundled update.

So it worked after I deleted the files in the update folder

Now old android phone (I really dug it up from somewhere) as a host and exploit runs perfectly

But one last question: Why cant I use my iPhone for hosting the jailbreak as a webserver? There are apps that can do the same as android plus my iphone is jailbroken.

I mean I always got my phone with me anyways so why advise against that?

Not old but a real crappy one from ZTE

It does have a blacklist function but that function has alot of sites hardcoded into it plus it fucked up the whole network.. So just blacklisting PSN servers is not an option for me.

Plus my Internet provider forces me to use this crappy router because the password is hardcoded into the router, I cant just buy a different one and use that.. And I have dumped the files where the password is stored but the decryption is too much for me noob :(

What isp? I work for one of the big boys and have some tools

I say old router because you basically just need the router for ipv4 packet switching, ideally you have the ps4 hardlined into it and the phone via wifi and nothing on the wan

nope I just keep it offline and and point the dns to my pc hosting al azif. Works perfect for me. I make sure auto updates and install is off. one can also block sony servers from router to attempt to stop this.

    Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
