I use BootNTR Selector Mode 3 on my New 3DS. It tells me Press home to open game. But it redirected me to the home menu. How do I open Miitopia by pressing the home button on BootNTR Selector Mode 3?

BootNTR Selector Mode 3 is only for Old 3DS not New 3DS, so install the regular one and check to see if it now works.

I used to have issues with boot ntr selector, but now with the new luma from @Nanquitas for 11.14, I never get crashes. it would crash even more often than a ps4 kernel panic on earlier firmwares.

Hello everybody,

may I ask, is there a chance of a working version of BootNTR Selector for the actual FW version of the N3DS so we can use plg module files again?

Just asking cause many cheat modules arent available as 3gx version.

Greetings!

Hello, I have used my N3DS again after a long time (maybe years).
The FW of my 3DS is 11.13.0-45 E, while the version I use of BootNTR CFW Selector is 2.12. I don't currently know what my version of Luma is or how to look at it.

When I open Boot NTR it tells me "Touch the desired version, 3.2, 3.3 or 3.6" it doesn't matter which one I select, because in all of them it tells me
Load failed! Firmware Unknown
Detected Firm: 2.65.0
Press any key to reboot.

It has been a long time since I turned on my N3DS and I used to use this application a lot for different cheats and above all to get the most out of the extra power of N3DS by enabling different options that Boot NTR had (similar to overclocking or something like that, I don't remember what it was like) .

I would like to know how I could solve it or if there is an alternative for those functions, thank you very much.

Another question.
To install .CIA I use FBI (which I think I have in its latest version since it has been updated from within the app), and I also have The Homebrew Launcher (Rosalina 2.2.0 according to the app).
It's been a long, long time since I installed these things. I have afraid that could will could lose some way to install features and app and won't be able to do it again. I don't remember how was the way to get to my console to the good actual status. I don't even remember how I installed FBI for the first time to be able to install .CIA later, I would like to know if there is some way to be able to reinstall it or how I can do it in case one day FBI stops working.
(I don't even remember how my console has CFW or which way I went to get it to work with CFW from the moment I turn on the console).
I think I'm not even using emunand and everything goes on the console naturally, which I find incredible but I don't remember how I did it.

I would also like to know if the Homebrew Channel needs to be updated or if it is no longer used, thanks.

is this not working? what was this replaced with and can i use all my old cheats?

it works, but you need the special version of luma. I don't use it for cheats, only to stream the system if I want to. I don't know if there's an alternative for that (think there is for cheats, but I'm not sure).

use this luma: https://github.com/Nanquitas/Luma3DS/releases

I only put it on my sd card, the ctrnand is still using the normal luma, but that's okay since you can't use the selector afaik without an sd card anyway.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
