DNSwitch4All
Easier/Noob friendly version of DNSwitch

Requirements
  1. Python 3.6 or Python 2.0
  2. A webserver(if you want PHP)
How to use
  1. Open the settings app on your nintendo switch
  2. Select your wifi connection
  3. Click change settings
  4. Click DNS Settings and change it to manual and enter the following IP as your Primary DNS "107.170.190.128"
  5. Click save and run a connection test and click okay once the switch asks you to register
  6. Once you click ok you should be redirected to a webpage that you can modify by running one of the two scripts in the DNSwitch4All repo that will automatically redirect you to either a website like google or even a custom website such as http://dnswitch.redthetrainer.com
  7. Alternatively you can also configure your DNS Redirect with the following page(no python required) http://107.170.190.128/configure.php
  8. Once the site is changed to your liking simply run a connection test again and click okay!
Credits
Visual Studio from Se7enSins for creating the scripts

Todo
Make executables of these scripts for easier access amongst the community - Currently being worked on by Visual Studio

Something's not really working out here.
If you look at the original DNSwitch you had to configure a bunch of shit...if someone cant run a simple script then they really shouldn't be on this site in the first place and they will need to wait for us to make the application versions.

Why tho when it already exists and can't get any easier? https://gbatemp.net/threads/proxswitch.464053/

So I can still go online and Switch doesn't automatically update?

Not sure since they say in the terms they can update your switch in the background even if you have the option turned off
If you want to be sure you can redirect these links to google or something and the Switch should not be able to see the latest update version

http://sun.hac.lp1.d4c.nintendo.net

I found them myself so they might not work right but from what I can tell it works.

I'm wondering about the Switch having a hardcoded list of DNS servers it references for updates, even if a custom DNS server is set? If I was Nintendo that's something I'd consider - but wouldn't make obvious.

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, I may probably download fallout 3 or new vegas on my ps3
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
