How to apply the patch:
  1. Get XdeltaUI.
  2. Download the .zip patch for the game that you want to restore and use 7zip/Winrar or any software to extract it.
  3. With XdeltaUI select the .xdelta and the game that you want to patch.
  4. Apply.

Hi everyone! After some time debugging with PPSSPP and assembly editing I finally figured out how to activate voice acting in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Tag Force 1 USA version.

Facts:

  • The voices were not removed from the game.
  • For remove the voice acting during the duels from the western versions of the game, the developers defined a sound volume parameter to 0 in the game executable (eboot.bin).
  • The voices in the title screen were disabled in libtitle file.
  • The voice from the card shop were disabled in the libshop file.

Happy news!
I managed to restore the voice acting in all US version of Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force (1,2,4,5) and in the european version of Tag Force 3 (There's not US version).
I'll make patches for european versions(1,2,4,5) in the future too.

Tag force 3

Tag Force 4

Tag force 5

EDIT: for TF1 EUR i managed to do it, but only in duel, in shop and start screen, it doesn't work, thanks anyways bro :D

Amazing, thanks for the work. I wonder if the opening videos and the HUD like the life points can be replaced with the japanese version?

Sweet! I tested on PPSSPP emulator, the Tag Force 3 is working perfectly until now, i was afraid i had to start over cause i already have 95% of the cards, but the SAVE FILE WORKED!

I can also confirm that the cwcheats work, i use Control NPC Partner and it worked perfectly.
Still have to check if TF2 will work as someone here already said there's issues with that one, but you already saved me from going straight to the japanese release in TF3.

Anyway: "Thanking you in advance."

PS: If plan on a future project, putting the cards in it's uncensored version would be great! A lot of work, but even more enjoyiment for people playing these gems that TF series is.

Yeah, original cards would be great too, it should be as easy as exporting the cards file from the japanese version and importing to the western versions, but i couldn't find it in the game files.

If Matheus doesn't show up maybe someone could help me in trying to find those things to improve on the patch.

TF1 and TF3 worked but Tag Force 2 won't work, neither in european or usa versions.
xdelta UI does it's thing for around 5 seconds than gives the following error:
" xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT "

Funny thing is If you try again the error comes immediately, but if you close xdelta and try again it takes around 5 seconds until the error shows up, dunno if that info is any relevant...
