Yeah, I can do that.I don't suppose it's possible to discern between "that file can't be opened with current permissions" and "your NAND is completely unreadable, time to panic", is it?

If you're using the *hax version, then you probably need jksm.xml in the same folder as jksm.3dsx. This just came up on the previous page.Hello there! I've recently gotten into Homebrew on the 3DS. I've found an Animal Crossing New Leaf file editor, and it says to use JKSM. However, when I select it, it freezes on a permanent yellow bottom screen. I honestly don't know what to do and I've tried it multiple times. Can anyone help?
The folder menus were merged. Once you enter save data, there will be a list on the bottom screen of what each button does. Y is restore or import. Press it while the folder you want is selected.Hey! I was trying to hack pokemon sun (digital copy) I used the JKSM to make the file but now that it is done and edited, I can't quite work out how to extract or essentialy put the modded file to the game. The only options are To save/delete data and extra/delete extra data. The old menu said <extract files> or something like that, is there an option like this in this menu?
You have to have a hacked 3DS to use homebrew on it.This is a bit late, but is it possible to get jksm on a ds with no homebrew, or be able to transfer a MHgen save from a ds with homebrew to a ds without it. My old ds is homebrewed but my new one isnt and i can't play gen on my new one without starting again.
It only works on 3DS. DS just requires you to copy/paste the save file like any other file. This is a bit late, but is it possible to get jksm on a ds with no homebrew, or be able to transfer a MHgen save from a ds with homebrew to a ds without it. Oof sorry, i did mean 3ds, but i was asking about jksm being used on a non homebrewed 3ds, because i read somewhere that "jk's SaveManager can be used without CFW," is that true? You have to have a hacked 3DS to use homebrew on it.
Also, a tip: don't shorten 3DS to DS. It can get confusing. I thought you were in the wrong subforum for a sec.
Only if you use the 3dsx version (launched via the Homebrew Launcher).i read somewhere that "jk's SaveManager can be used without CFW," is that true?
No.And is it possible to move your save from one 3ds to another without homebrew?
You will at least have to have steelhax on your new 3DS, or have one of the other cart-based *hax entry points (namely FreakyForms Deluxe, Cubic Ninja, Sticker Star, or OoT 3D). These are not the same as CFW. (They're also very easy to get rid of after you're done with them.)My old ds is homebrewed but my new one isnt and i can't play gen on my new one without starting again.
You would have to extract them and then decrypt them. Shouldn't be terribly difficult considering how screwed the 3ds is right now, but I'm not sure there's really any tools available for those tasks?I've been wondering if its possible to convert 3ds save backups (the ones you make in the home menu) into ones you can use with jks, since I have a save file for fire emblem echoes but its for another region but that save is backed up through the home menu thing
Damn guess i'll have to get a cia of the same region and just restore it that way thenYou would have to extract them and then decrypt them. Shouldn't be terribly difficult considering how screwed the 3ds is right now, but I'm not sure there's really any tools available for those tasks?
Yes, that's fuse-3ds. It runs on a Windows PC and requires you to have your moveable.sed .You would have to extract them and then decrypt them. Shouldn't be terribly difficult considering how screwed the 3ds is right now, but I'm not sure there's really any tools available for those tasks?
Both should work fine, just copy and paste the folder for the specific save backup inthe JKSV folder to another console/games JKSV folder and restore it.hello~
just wondering, is it possible to import other users’ saves through jksm? what about other region saves?
there are specific games where this won't work due to differing save structure between regional releases or console-specific data stored in the save to prevent save sharing (both rather rare), but in general it will work without issue. Just remember to keep a backup of your old save in case anything ever goes wrong.hello~
