So, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I'm trying to inject a romhack of Earthbound called New Controls using a decrypted copy of vanilla Earthbound from the eshop. I'm using the default settings for rom type etc as detected by the injector, but every time I try to install it on my N3DS it crashes to a black screen, forcing me to do a hard shutdown. If someone wouldn't mind trying this to see if it fails for them too, that'd be great. I've successfully used your old injector before, so maybe the hack just doesn't work with virtual console. :(

P.S. Trying to specify a banner image causes it to replace the app icon in the preview, but it works fine when the cia is compiled.

I just tried it with the Goodset Earthbound ROM (USA) MD5: db69254ee05c779ca560037766154954 and applied the "eb-newcontrols-headered.ips" with LunarIPS and it worked just fine with the default settings. Maybe try another base SNES VC CIA?

Try not placing the CIA in the same folder as the injector.

Actually, I had to place it in the same folder, otherwise it would copy EVERY other file in the other file (It copied EVERYTHING that was on my desktop in the injector folder when I tried to load the base .cia from the desktop on windows 8.1)

Another problem I encounter is that when I choose the 3D SNES option, I can't change the bottom banner. When I click on "Banner", it instead change the icon. The icon button change effectively the icon too.

Edit: It also does it with 3D Super Famicom option.

That's just a problem with the preview. The actual CIA will have the changed bottom banner and icon.

Won't this tool result in slow performance because it doesn't mimic the ADPCM sound decompression that the actual VC titles use?

Hey just a suggestion, you should explain what those options mean for newbies, like what one to chose lo/hirom what mgbit and whats a uniqueid or cart ID, i had to go look around like a chicken without his head to find most of it out. lol

The cartridge banner remains white as requested by many people due to the fact that is how it appears with genuine SNES VC. The game icon, television image and bottom banner are customizable.

Ohhhh is the image part of the 3d texture? That's easy to edit as well if that's the case. If it is would I have to use another tool to edit them to inject or should I just use another program altogether to do this

For now you'd have to manually edit the texture using Ohana, but I'll think about adding the feature when I get some time.

Hi, I need some help.
I'm trying to inject the German (PAL) version of Terranigma and can't get it to work.
First I tried it with a .cia from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I used the Hourglass9 option "SysNAND title to CIA" to get the decrypted .cia file from the VC release. The injection worked fine, but the game didn't boot at all. It crashed and my 3DS restarted. I tried it a few times but it never booted. Then I tried it again, this time using a .cia of Super Castlevania IV. Sometimes it boots and when it does it seems to play fine but... there is no sound at all.
What's the deal here? Do I need a .cia of some specific game? Oh and for the images I just picked some random stuff.. I guess this isn't important?

I can try to see if it works on mine, also are you using luma3ds? or a different kind of CFW
