The way the injection tool works is that it replaces the rom in a official Virtual Console title with another one. The reason it does this is because the emulation offered in the Virtual Console is not the same as a regular emulator on a PC. An emulator such as Project64 is designed to be a jack of all trades, meaning that it tries to play multiple games trough a single emulator. The Virtual Console on the other hand, offers a unique emulator that is tailored-made for the specific game. That's why certain games don't work when you inject them in a Virtual Console emulator, that emulator is meant for one game and one game only so if another game is played with that emulator it may or may not work. That's why you need a base, since a game that did not work when using Super Mario 64 as a base, may work when using F-Zero X instead.wtf is a base why can't I just use pictures. ROM and Wii u decryption key?
well, could i download a pirated base and inject a rom into it?The way the injection tool works is that it replaces the rom in a official Virtual Console title with another one. Hi there. Is this program pretty intuitive, or are there technicalities I need to be aware of?
Do I need common key or title keys?
Can I use a custom icon, banner, and boot sound?
Do I need to provide bases?
How do I know which base I'm supposed to inject into?
Is there a readme anywhere?
Okay, so I answered the base question. This isn't really intuitive to use. How do I use the program? What file format are bases? How do I get them?It looks like the title keys are already there, but it says the title key is missing. How do I fix that?
Yes, but before you do any injection you should check the compatibility list of the console you are trying to inject to see if the game would work to begin with.well, could i download a pirated base and inject a rom into it?
well, what do I google for a pirated base and where're compatibility list website? thanks for helping me on this site man also!Yes, but before you do any injection you should check the compatibility list of the console you are trying to inject to see if the game would work to begin with.
okay thxThe compatibility list is on the GBATemp wiki, and you're going to have to find the base on your own.
Edit: Here's the link to all of the compatibility lists: https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Category:Compatibility_Lists
get wii u usb helper for bases. All i need at this point is to figure out how to install the last of my n64 list right because they dont boot up right but that list said they work so i just need to see what I'm doing wrong. The ones I've got to work and some I havent yet I made icons for on hereokay thx
yes a beta, only avaliable on the uwuvci discord or teh ntiendo homebrew discord. Is there a new version?
the disable dark filter and enable widescreen option doesn't seem to work on N64 VC? It worked once with Star Fox 64 for stretching the screen, however the filter remained, and had no effect on Donkey Kong 64 or Mario 64 (widescreen patched) Still maintains black borders. I've tried with the arc files as they are, and also swapped out with edited arc's. No joy.yes a beta, only avaliable on the uwuvci discord or teh ntiendo homebrew discord.
In ym testing with the widescreen options, i still had black bars yes. I tested it with f-Zero, but it still was more streched than before (this can be cause of not being a patched rom). Dark filter removal still does work in my testings. would you mind, going to the discord so i can assist you better?the disable dark filter and enable widescreen option doesn't seem to work on N64 VC? Hey, I did further tests and have the dark filter removed on Super Mario 64, but the widescreen it still keeps black bars for the widescreen patched game. yea no probs - which one?
