Hey guys. I'm planning to bring back Miiverse, but first I need to learn how to do it. Miiverse shut down on November 7th 2017. And so far there is no real replacement for the service. I need to see how Nintendo used Miiverse so I can make a replacement server for Miiverse. I was thinking about the name Riiverse. The name Riiverse will be inspired by Riiconnect24. I know I looked on the internet, and so far no replacement for miiverse. my version of Riiverse will be a real replacement of Miiverse. I'll first work on Wii U support, then I'll see about 3ds and PC Support. I just got to figure out how to get it on Wii U first.

Is it even possible to see the miiverse-specific packages? I always assumed that all Nintendo online services would be encrypted.

I found miiverse to be one of the biggest features of the Wii U and was very disappointed to see that Nintendo dropped it altogether. A gaming social network tightly integrated with the console

Pretty sure Miiverse has a list with white-listed URL's in nn_olv.rpl(?) that can be changed with modding, you also need a "discovery" server which tells Miiverse where to go to (the URL's for the API, Portal, N3DS).
I actually am trying to reverse engineer Miiverse too, you'd probably also need to change some certificates or generate new ones cause the old ones won't work with custom hosts, not sure about that tho.

And also, there is a part of Nintendo online services that is encrypted but Miiverse isn't, there's only "nasc" that has encrypted data that I know of.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I still like how a freaking mp3 file hacks webos all that security defeated by text yet again

I want a 120hz 4k tv but crazy how more expensive the 120hz over the 60hz are. Or even more crazy is the price of 8k's.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's where stremio comes to play never got a letter about it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just use a VPN, even give him my login and password so can use it also, and he refuses, he's funny.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.

@BigOnYa, Lol I bought a new USB card reader thing on AliExpress last month for I think like 87 cents. Free shipping from China... It arrived it works and honestly I don't understand how it was so cheap.
