I have a Trinity (Reach slim) that worked fine when I RGH3 it a couple of months ago. I went to boot it up tonight and it started then froze on the 360 boot screen. I shut it down and went to turn it back on and I get nothing. Green light stays on, but I did notice that it has a faint ticking/clicking sound like a watch when powering on. Xell will not boot either and tried vga as alternate video source and tried removing hard drive.

I tore it down and redid all of my soldering points and even tried a new 10k resister but am getting nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated!

yeah, a dvd drive malfunction wouldn't cause it not to boot, but it could make that sound. you may have to get the secondary error code if rrod. afaik, it will only display a code if it is in fact rrod, not any other error. what I heard not too long ago is an rgh is incapable of displaying rrod, so it needs to be stock. a jtag can though.

what makes me :rofl2:is that psx-place gives dev badges to anyone, even people like Berion, who are too afraid to fix a bd issue on his ps4. personally, if you don't know software and hardware, you're not a dev. I've befriended lightning mods, and he knows about both. haha, true dumb asses.

so undid all rgh wires and reflashed to retail nand. It will power on and the light will stay on for about 5 seconds and the ticking sound hits 5 times, then the light goes off and the fan is the only thing staying on. No lights or anything, just the fan staying on until I power it down.

addendum: Able to get the error code, 0101 which is "Could not write data for RAM read strobe training" according to Octal's Database. Console shot?
