Ya know, i hear that Left handed people tend to live shorter lives because the world is "designed" for right handed people.

A question has been bugging me. How you left handed ppl play FPS? Do you find it harder to play em? For the past week, ive been using my left hand (im a righty) to use my mouse. (exception of games). Ive made some progress, and its working good

. But Still, not close enough to come to the accuracy and speed for a FPS.

Thankee to all the Leftees.

I'm left handed but do a lot of things right handed.

If something involved only one hand, eg: writing or cutting something with just a knife I'll use my left hand.

If it involves two hands I'll do it the right handed way eg: play the guitar, wiimote + nunchuck, knife and fork.

Naturally i will use my right, but theres a few things i can or do use my left hand for. Only because i have trained it enough though.
For example i haved trained myself play table tennis fairly well with my left hand as with my right hand.

If you practice it will become more natural.

Edit: I've decided to try out using my left hand for the mouse. so far its going "Ok"
I think it would eb nice to give my right hand a rest for a while.

Right handed. The only things I can use my left with are those complementary tools (knife and fork, etc). I've been trying to use my left to shoot the ball in soccer to allow greater versatility, but that isn't going well

EDIT: I remember now! I can shoot with my left hand in basketball! I can also type with my left hand.

Right handed but I trained left hand use up somewhat, going to have to again though as it is now sporting a fetching pink cast.

Mouse can be used in both hands (especially useful when watching stuff in bed).
Tools: force, if necessary comes, from the right although for stuff like a chisel I can use both.
Knife (as in weapon) I prefer right, knife and fork it is really up in the air, chopsticks I can barely use my left for.
One handed typing, both although my choice of passwords leans towards the right somewhat. Normal typing tends to favour my left being used for shift, control, alt and the like unless it is games where I finally use WASD (I used arrows for years) or a pad.

Right handed, but occasionally I'll set up my drums the opposite way, just to train the ambidextrosity a bit.
.. not saying I'm any good with 'em like that, but it does help a bit.

I'm left handed for pretty much everything. However I chose to type with my left hand and use the mouse with the right hand because all the awesome mice are for right handed people (Logitech MX500
wub.gif
). Also because I got used to it. I only need my left hand for typing (plus the right one for shift, enter & backspace). I also eat like right handed people because I find the fork much more important than the knive.

Left handed, we pwn you all. Our race will soon rise and the rebellion shall begin. Death to America!

Im not sure we're a different race than them...well, you know what I mean. And can you wait till I move up to Canada before you condemn America?

Lefty's rule. Heres an excerpt (chirp chirp)
QUOTETechnical advantages

One, and perhaps the only, universally common technological implement actually favoring left-handers is the QWERTY keyboard layout. Since this layout contains far more of the common English letters on the left side of the keyboard, the left hand does a solid majority of the typing, giving left-handed typists an advantage.

I'm a lefty and I find it pretty easy to play FPS games. Since I first laid my hands on a mouse, I used my right hand because it was designed for the right hand.I pretty much got use to using the mouse with my right hand and my left hand is used for moving (W,A,S,D in CS).

I think lefties have it easier to "learn" using the right hand, because the world is "designed" for righties...

it's like english...

it's easy for ppl to learn english, becuase almost everyone uses it..
but it isn't as easy for enlish-speaking persons to learn the other languages... you get my point?

I use different hands in different cases. For example, I write or eat with my right hand but I play basketball or play guitar(or guitar hero) with my left hand. When I need to throw something, I use my left hand. I guess I can use my fingers better on my right hand, but I have more arm power in my left arm.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
