Sega Saturn Tribute Compatibility Spreadsheet (WIP)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1X4iLL8J5sPMlxr_XbfZ-3f21IF9ni-otn2wwl-4hzsk/edit?usp=sharing

- Includes links to required/recommended configs. If nothing is listed, use Guardian Force's default config.
- "CPU MHz" column is the overclock you will need in handheld mode. If nothing is listed, then no overclocking is required.
- If you would like to contribute, click the "Public Sheet" tab at the bottom and add your finds there.
- If any games are flat out missing from the compatibility sheet, please make note of it within the "Public Sheet"
- The sheet is still a work-in-progress, so keep an eye out for changes on already tested games (Better config, less overclock, etc)

If there are any questions, recommendations, etc regarding the spreadsheet, feel free to reach out.
Top top work my friend

I tried adding to the public folder but it didn't seem to save. The following work well with the std config:

Shining Force 3 S2 (eng patched)
Shining Force 3 S3 (eng patched)
Command & Conquer (EU)

Ahhh...I see. You delete from the public tab and add to the main list. Gotcha. Will continue adding to the public list in that case.

Amazing work by the way !

Thanks but I should add that a great deal of works was also done by @xYuunax who initially created the spreadsheet and some games listed were based off @stranno 's showcase videos on YouTube. Might be forgetting someone else. But of course many thanks to you and anyone else with public contributions to testing as well.

I was curious how well Exhumed would play and it is perfect. Lovely and smooth

Need some help getting final fight revenge to work. I didn’t realize the config I got from here was set at 1mb. When I noticed that I changed it to 5c and saved it. Am I missing something. This is the config I’m supposed to change if I’m correct.
Edit
Page 5 had the answer delete save. It didn’t work for me though, so maybe somehow the game got created wrong. I guess later I’ll try again.

The thing with Nights Into Dreams is there's more than one US version iso you can find online, the only one that worked for me is the one called "NiGHTS into Dreams... (USA) (RE)", while this one did not boot "Nights Into Dreams... (USA) (DW0453)".

You mean this one working :

-NiGHTS into Dreams... (USA) (with 3D Control Pad) (RE) [English, NTSC, Full ISO]
No, I never tried that one, maybe it's the same iso with a slightly different name though, the one I reported as working has literally the name I mentioned "NiGHTS into Dreams... (USA) (RE)".

Anyone figure out how multi disc games work like panzer dragoon saga?

Save the game at the end of disk 1. Create the NSP for disk 2 so it has the SAME title ID as disk 1 (so disk 1 will need to be deleted). Then load disk 2. You should be good to go. This method doesn't work for all multi-disk games but most. There is a list somewhere in the thread. Probably around pages 20-30

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
