If anyone try to get games from protected website. Please don't ask me.

When I try to get games and my ISP blocked due to SSL error. Because of their ISP (Version FIOS and CL) are auto update firmware cause much worse to create a lot of problems affect some websites. It happened on June 2023 or before.

I blamed McAfee is worst ever stubborn security affect all Verizon FIOS and CL ISP modem.

If anyone who own Version FIOS and CL ISP get SSL errors like this:

our connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from (where people try to get games from protected websites) (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

This server could not prove that it is (where people try to get games from protected websites); its security certificate is from *.safezone.mcafee.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

This screenshot about SSL errors like example:

All of Verzion FIOS ISP modems:

1.
Log in your account for your ISP modem.

2. Go to Setting and look for Devices & Parental Controls - Home Network Protection Turn back on to manage then change to Off from On to fix problems.

All of CL ISP modems:

Step by step order for Working to disable security

1. http://192.168.0.1 to login in account

2. Go to Advanced Setup

3.
then find left row and find Security then find Cyber Security

Click on Cyber Security

4.
Cyber Security enables or disables Cyber Security on the gateway

1. Select the Cyber Security state.

Cyber Security:

Change to: Disable Modem Security until I Turn Back to On

Now problems are gone now. I hate McAfee security built in ISP modems. If anyone have same my problems and have go in setting to check and changed there will fix problems.

I'm security research and find out few users on Reddit website report similar problems last in February 2023 about SSL problems.

Did anyone know that Big N company did very silent to sent messages to most ISP to quiet update firmware on their ISP modems without their permission that cause block some websites where Switch games are on websites that where many people get from it. That's why big N company want to take freedom away from internet cause most people have very hard time to access protected websites. How sad news.

I did post important message on "Pikmin 4 has leaked online prior to launch (my posts are on 2nd pages)" because L.. staff deleted my messages without my permission. It's make me very upset about deleted messages. Everyone will understand what I post very important messages about it. I did nothing wrong. I want to everyone to know urgent news about important messages to wake up then will learn new things what happened go on internet example like wide block roll out something like that compare to blacklist websites.

Credits go to all of Reddit usernames for release out info about security problems. CAPICINC created topic name: Mcafee safezone cert on an iphone?. Other members list: k1zzaj0n3s, Claude4us, MagicAmoeba, Jaa1212, CyberInfoGuy, etc are report same problems and resolved problems when disabled / Off on security that help them.

Wow! That's shocked for us about state signed a new law requiring sites to collect ID/verify age. I did search on Startpage and saw list on there. That's bad news. VPN will help a lot to keep people info safe from harm way where companies collect them and hackers don't steal info from people when use VPN is very important for defense.

I always keep checking on internet for research many years to coming and learn about them.

If you wanna moan in public. Let me explain. This is extremely off-topic since it had nothing to do with said game or post. Nor do we need your permission to remove posts.

If you mean some naughty pirate sites, it's probably in the McAfee list for malware, because a lot of said sites do include it. Adblockers are recommended.

Also, lol. I would call McAfee malware on my router any day, shouldn't be there in the first place (atleast no on by default) imho.

Or, if you still want to go to that site, instead of disabling security, just click on the "Proceed to .... (unsafe)".

@linuxares I understand what you explain to me. No problems. I'm fine. :yay:

About McAfee. I used McAfee long time ago on Windows XP and did get heavy like bloatware. I don't like McAfee anymore. I heard McAfee is much worse right now. Due to many false alarm pick up like on keygen, cracks, patches, etc for PC games and programs to remove 30 days trail and other protection to remove then changed to lifetime. I'm already experience many times in past and already very useful to me.

I learn that AVG, Avast, McAfee and Norton did collect to steal people info on internet. That's not good for some Anti-virus companies to collect to steal people info. Also many false alarms pick up too.

Avira and Kaspersky are very great because don't pick up a lot of false alarm.

Microsoft is fair and also pick up some false alarms.

Any internet program like Google Chrome, Firefox, Brave, etc with add on like Adblock Plus, Poper Blocker (pop up blocker) and uBlock Origin (this is best one have built in malware protection).

@OrGoN3

About click on the "Proceed to .... (unsafe)". I refuse do on my outdated Windows 7 operating system due to security problems. I used VMware Workstation Pro program to use Linux Mint operating system to running on my Windows 7 without change operating system then go to use Firefox to get on internet and did click on "Proceed to .... (unsafe)" then blank page do nothing show up. Not working for me due to blank website doing nothing help me. Instead I was do research on internet and found out then have to disable security inside ISP modem to turn off and working perfect like bring everything back to normal again like old days long time ago same like old fashion internet in year 2010 or before. I already know Linux operating systems are bulletproof against all virus, malware, spyware, etc than Windows operating system make me feel a lot of safe for reasons. ;)

But the point is that in the end of your convoluted way of doing it, you ARE stil simply bypassing the error message and are proceeding anyway. There is no difference between your long winded steps and simply clicking the proceed anyway link.

So every security aspect you just pretended to care about, doesn't matter since you're just disabling the notifications anyway.

Lately, Linux is not immune to viruses, rootkits, malware, etc.

The issue is more of the certificate for that site, instead of your network equipment, you disabling the security doesn't fix the problem for you long term.
nop, is a service of mcafee intercepting all ssl trafic, and now the certificate of macafee become invalid, that's why he solve it disabling the service.
