Okay.. I'm trying to run an SNES emulator through steam link. The controller works on the down stairs computer, but I can't seem to get any response via the steam link or another computer via in-home streaming.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas what can fix this.

Which SNES emu, and which controller?

A few emulators have this problem with Steam Link and Steams in-home streaming in general, some of them can be fixed by simply connecting a controller of the same type to the PC as the PC being streamed to, and some of them just can't be fixed. I know the Steam controller itself is one of the most common controllers that has issues being detected by emulators, because of the way it works. Assuming it's the one you're using, if you change the default behavior for the controller outside of games to the Game Controller option in the Steam Controller settings, it should be picked up by most emulators and should work fine. But again, that depends on the emulator.

Sorry for the delay, I never got a notification that a response was posted. :P

I have tried snes9x and retroarch with a few different cores, but no luck. I would try hooking the controller to the PC to configure it, but I use a PS3 controller on the steam link, and yes.. I know I can set it up to work on the PC, but frankly, I just don't want to fight with DS3. Again, the Super NES is, as far I know, the only one giving me problems. I figure I'll try to configure both with the same controller when I am able to get a steam link controller.
