Not necesarily, what you should look for is the manufactured date, if the box doesn't have it then you should ask the shop since when they had that box stored, if it is since beginning of this year then there is a good chance it is below 4.05 (any new shipment comes with >4.05).so according to the list
ps4 slim standalone or bundle with ref CUH-2016A should be < 4.05 fw ?
right ?
i tought CUH-2016A = manufacturated in 2016 -> good firmware ?Not necesarily, what you should look for is the manufactured date, if the box doesn't have it then you should ask the shop since when they had that box stored, if it is since beginning of this year then there is a good chance it is below 4.05 (any new shipment comes with >4.05).
That's right. And the PS4 Pro (CUH-7015B) was manufactured in the year 7015.i tought CUH-2016A = manufacturated in 2016 -> good firmware ?
where can you see the manufacturated date, on the bottom of the box ? (Pacakge (c) 2016 Sony) ?
The 2016 isn't about the date at all. Onlyn some country can you see a date code, like in japanese box if i'm not mistaken. But for most country their is no way of knowing the manufactured date. Only by opening and looking girectly at the ps4 itself. That's why buying an old bundle is the only way to be pretty sure of buying a ps4 with <4.06 firmware.i tought CUH-2016A = manufacturated in 2016 -> good firmware ?

Those numbers just mean the model (color and storage capacity):i tought CUH-2016A = manufacturated in 2016 -> good firmware ?

If it is a sealed launch edition, then it should be 3.7.If I buy a new launch edition ps4 pro will the firmware be 3.7? Is there a way to tell by the box or model number?
For bundles you can see the product code to see if it is the same bundle. In this case MC71809.thanks for the replies, and sorry for asking maybe same questions
so what would be good to have is a matching list
with the "P-27452396-K" numbers and matching fw
P-27452 396-K
P-27452 229-F
P-12388671-I
P-02003050-Z
P-27452299-M
also seems now, on some model , the code is inside the box, so you cant know without unboxing ?

If it is a sealed launch edition, then it should be 3.7.

The question is different.
Who is supposed to be the "datecode" in a label like mine?
Obviously, since the game just came out. Sony fixed the exploit when they released 4.06 in November last year.My COD WW2 500GB Slim bundle came with 4.75 preinstalled.
