It's that time of year again, where game companies will reveal to us snippets of information about upcoming games while we appreciate the games that have released throughout this past year. There are plenty of of different categories to see awarded, from Best eSports Host, to the illustrious Game of the Year. GBAtemp will be covering the event, from start to finish, so you can easily check out all the major announcements without having to tune in. However, if you are interested in the show, you can tune in and watch alongside us on our official Twitch channel, as we stream the show and talk about the games that came out this year, while reporting on the event.

The first award goes to Final Fantasy VII Remake, which won Best Soundtrack/Score.

Loop Hero announced by Devolver Digital. It's a pixel game where you fight in dungeons with cards. 2021.

This next game sees you explore oceans, mountains, and more on a topical island. You can follow animals and manipulate certain objects. Tchia is the name.

Best Action Adventure goes to The Last of Us Part II.

Developer Jo-Mei, along with Quantic Dream as the publisher, are working on Sea of Solitude Director's Cut for an exclusive release on the Nintendo Switch.

Shady Part of Me is now available. It's a puzzle game where you use your shadow to solve puzzles.

The rest of the Yakuza games are coming to PC

Best Family Game: Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Best Debut Game: Phasmophobia.

Myst gets a VR release. You can get a Myst-themed Oculus Home space if you order it on the Oculus store.

No mention of Cyberpunk 2077 I've only started playing it today & it's my favorite game in ages?... Beautiful in 4k on my pc the stealth is cool.. Gunplay works well.... & the world is huge.... Ah well I'm glad Ghost of T got a mention as I lived that too this year...... & I'm the only one on here that just never cared for Smash Bros at all.... I was always a Street Fighter kid....

Sephiroth is, as he ever was, the most frightening looking fighting game character I've ever seen. At higher difficulty levels he was an absolute ball-buster to face in Dissidia's story modes, and it doesn't look like he's letting up in Smash. What I wonder, is, will his Kingdom Hearts outfit be an alternate costume as Cloud's Advent Children design has been?

I think I'm the lucky one ( so far) no bugs nor crashes or anything yet about 10 hours in... I'm hooked too I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow lool... I'm glad you can start a new game too with a new profile.. So I can switch up characters ect... I do like the stealthy parts.. Really reminds me of Thief...
