Another year means another hotly-debated Game Awards show, featuring the best games that have released throughout 2020. The annual show has announced which games have been nominated for various categories, such as best game direction, performance, audio design, and of course, game of the year. Major titles such as DOOM Eternal, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Hades, The Last of Us Part II, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are all up for vote for 2020's best game. The results will be aired live on December 10th.

As much as im happy for people that enjoyed TLOU2, I sure hope it does not win. Not the game that fucked over gamers (especially on the ones who waited for this part for so long) by miss-advertising, straight out lying to people in trailers (that's a FACT), and DMCA striking people for no reason. and all of that for what? honestly, players satisfaction should be more prioritized than awards, in which Druckmann obviously failed.

Sure, It was his game and he's free to do whatever he wanted for second part, but at least he could've been honest about it before game released. There was none to very little indication of what this game was actually going to be, people who skipped spoilers and trusted studio were simply lied to in trailers, so disappointment is absolutely validated.

whether the story was shit or not is up for debate ( tho tbh almost have not seen anyone who loved the first game like second part one bit), but facts mentioned above have absolutely no excuse.

so yeah, hell no to game that fucked over people.

TLOU2 gets my vote! Fantastic game and ended up feeling more "next gen" than most actual next gen games.

For me, I'd like to see Hades and Ghost get GOTY Animal Crossing was fine, though I prefer new leaf still. Doom Eternal would be the least offensive to me if it were to win. FFVIIR isn't finished from what I heard. Idk I haven't played more than 10 minutes of OG FFVII. The last of us 2? Imagine.

Wii Play is in the place 23th and not cause of that I'm gonna say it was the best game of 2007
Liked or not, New Horizons sold that much cause of the pandemic.
It just released in the perfect timing, but to this point, we should know that just because something is popular or sold a lot, doesn't mean its good.
I love Animal Crossing, specially New Leaf, and I have play New Horizons for like 300 hours, but I don't think it deserves the nomination
