That is even worse, I don't even get how you went from a great game like Skyrim to saying i like drawer opening simulators, I think maybe you think I am saying that GTA games are the worst games ever made but I don't agree with that either. There were a lot of good games that came out during the GTA 3 era that should have gotten into the hall of fame before GTA3.
- Final Fantasy 9
- Pokemon Gold & Silver
- Shenmue 1 & 2
- Skies of Arcadia
- Soul Calibur 1 & 2
- Spider Man
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Zelda: OOT
- Zelda: Oracle Series
- Zelda: Wind Waker

It's like you don't even understand the point of a "Hall of Fame", emphasis on the FAME. Regardless if you like GTA 3 or the GTA series as a whole or not, the impact it's had on video game culture is not debatable. Every game currently in the hall of fame are also known by people who haven't even played video games in their lives. Fuck, I bet a good portion of young gamers didn't even know what Shenmue was until that Kickstarter at last years E3.
Also, what would be the point of having sequels of games already on the list going in directly after their predecessors?
All of these games have become synonymous with their genres:
DOOM > FPS
Grand Theft Auto III > Open World
The Legend of Zelda > Action/Adventure
Pac-Man > Arcade
Pong > Sport/Arcade
The Sims > Life simulation
Sonic the Hedgehog > Platformer
Space Invaders > Arcade
Super Mario Bros. > Platformer
Tetris > Puzzle
World of Warcraft > MMORPG
Pokemon Red/Green > RPG
Some of these games weren't the first to do what defines them, but they damn sure improved upon it. What your doing is putting personal feelings over facts. Who cares if it was made to "
appeal to the mass market casuals that buy those kind of games", this is the "Hall of Fame", not the Hall of Hipsters.
