US version of Paper Mario has reached 100% decompilation progress. Once the work is finished on a PC port, we may start to see some ports in the coming months/years for consoles.

Regarding OpenTyrian, the changelog says:

All scalers are now set to center vertical output on a 4:3 display (at 320x240 [none] or 640x480 [2x, scale2x]). [...] Therefore None, 2x and scale2x are now all open again.

As I like non-smoothed pixel graphics (Scale2x blurs things too much, 2x is rather acceptable), I wanted to set "scaler" to "none" in the config file. But when launching the game, it reverts to "Scale2x" (btw, on 1.8, the setting is not saved in-game -switching between 2x and Scale 2x does nothing-, it has to be set manually in the "opentyrian.conf" file)

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
