Hacking Timebomb trick's R4

Hello guys, I have purchased the R4isdhc GOLD Pro 2019 brand (r4isdhccom) from the GBAtemp trusted re seller. I have done some research and from what i understand this cart has some sort of a timebomb that will make it stop working past a certain date. Apparently there are only 2 methods to work around the timebomb and that is to either install Ysmenu or set the date of your ds back so that the the system date never reaches the timebomb date. Another person said that the time bomb only activates if used on a 3ds and its fine to use on a DSI or earlier. Can somebody please confirm any of these methods are working 2019 i really don't want to have to order another cart.

Why dont you just use YS Menu? It's way better.

I am just worried i will manage to brick my flashcart by installing YSMENU. Can you brick a flashcart by messing up the YSMENU installation?
