Hacking Tinfoil USB install on Catalina OSX

Ive Been using NS-USB Loader but its not recognizing my switch im updated on all fronts and when i choose a NSP file it acts as if theres no switch connected. i had to open the app with the ".jar launcher" that comes with Java and ive enabled unsigned so im pretty much lost at this point. Google is no help either.

Have you tried checking the cable status using the SD mount option in Hekate?

It's been working for me on my MBP on Catalina and now on Big Sur - but it didn't work in the first USB port I tried (like you said, acted as if nothing was connected), moved it to a different port and it worked.
