Trident PRO-S Controller revealed

Game Devil, a Game Outlet brand and leading innovators in gaming hardware and accessories, announced today the launch of the Switch Trident PRO-S Controller, a great value game-pad designed to emulate a classic, console experience when used with Nintendo Switch™.

One of the first dedicated third-party controllers to appear for Nintendo Switch, the Switch Trident PRO-S controller arrives in time for the Holidays, shipping across Europe from November 2017.

The Switch Trident PRO-S Controller offers the precision control of an authentic console game pad, without sacrificing the ease of connectivity and low-latency enjoyed by Switch owners. Effortless to use, the PRO-S is fully wireless, ideal for couch play and sustained gaming sessions.

A genuine Nintendo pro controller can be gotten for about $55 brand new.

Unless you need a crappy controller for your little brother/sister/child, there's no reason to get anything else.
Where? :creep:

Also, why does the original post reads like a freaking ad?

Second/third/whatever the ad question. The text, which reads like a promo text, tells us nothing important about the controller, like, for example, does it support motion control? A real Switch Pro controller replacement absolutely needs that. Why is it different from run-of-the-mill dollar bin controllers? Why should I buy it over an, e.g. Hori controller, when I want to go off-brand (just an example, I know nothing about that controller, Hori is just a brand I know and trust)?

This text has also been published here and here.

@Costello what do you say about this? Why isn't that tagged as advertisement?

EDIT:
Here and here are two more sources with the same text. The last one at least has the common decency of tagging it "press release".

Yeaaah...the ad-like tone, the reviews, and the fact that I can't find any information about the controller on their website is a bit strange...

Their add photo on amazon says no motion control or nfc

It seems like a nice controller and all...
But why does it have to use the PlayStation layout for the Analog stick and the D-Pad.
I freaking despise that design lol
Only one who utilizes them good until the Switch Controller has been Microsoft. The 360 and xbox one placements are perfect. Which is probably why Nintendo finally went the same on their new pro controllers.

It's a press release, not an advert. Like 90% of our front page posts it's a copy/paste text dump from a mail in our inbox.
If it were a promo or sponsored post it would be tagged as such.
Figured that after finding that fourth identical article, so sorry for blaming you to post ads. EDIT: removed some unimportant stuff.

well.. sorry but I'm a fanboy of Microsoft Joypad !
I can't play properly with Sony's Joypad style .
I had to buy a Nakon revolution in order to play in good condition with my PS4.

Anyway, it sounds like a decent joypad... why not ....

I have been using this controller. For what you pay its a decent option.

I never use motion (untill Mario O even then not so much). So thats not a drawback for me. The confort is good. I play alot of Ps4 so their design choice is not a issue for me either. Its not AS good as the Nintendo Pro. But a good choice for the second player =).

Looks like a decent controller. It doesn't seem to have NFC or motion controls, although I didn't expect that.
Though I would have preferred the D-Pad to be on the bottom, as the analog stick is much more commonly used in games so it makes sense for it to be in the primary position. That's not a deal breaker though.

The larger home button is something I wish Nintendo would have done with the official Pro Controller, because I find myself having to look down at the controller to make sure I'm not accidentally pressing the capture button, and the buttons look so similar at first glance that I have to think for a second.

I like that the Switch is getting so many 3rd party options for low cost gamepads, and they all seem to be of decent quality as well.

I actually wouldn't mind the turbo function. But if the build quality is that bad, it's definitely not worth it.

Still would need a real controller for the switch though, especially if and when no more heroes comes out. #JoyConsTooTiby

Those do motion control?
"The SN30 Pro is the worlds first, fully featured retro controller. It boasts a full button set with clickable joysticks, rumble vibration², motion controls, wireless bluetooth, rechargeable battery, home and screen shot buttons, and a USB-C connector. Not to mention a proper d-pad."

the legal drinking age here in the US is 21, as some of you may know, but i think either it should be 18 or the age you're an adult should be 21.
    +1
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and i know what you may be thinking, "why become an adult at 21? doesn't that mean that banging an 18 year old would be illegal?"
first of all, being in a relationship with someone who's 18 is technically ok, as long as it started when they were 18, but the age gap is still weird depending on how old you are. besides, the age of consent differs between different states
    +1
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
also my reasoning for adult age being 21 is because the reason that's the drinking (and now smoking) age is because it "gives them more time to think rationally and not drive drunk"
so you should have that extra time to mature and think rationally before going to serve in the military or vote
    +1
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
tl;dr the "adult" age and the legal drinking age (and voting age) here in the US should be the same

What about making kids wait till 18 or 21 to drive? And yea is messed up, you can join army and die for your country at age 18, but you can't drink alcohol or smoke a cig til 21, is ridiculous

If someone is in the military they should be allowed to smoke and drink at 18.... Would help drive recruitment lol

We all know they do and will anyways. I think laws prevented them only pushes them to illegally do it. Even tho if was legal, most prob wouldn't even bother. Not a big deal or risque if its legal, no fun.

also, i think the voting age should match the adult and drinking ages too, because by the logic of giving them time to mature and think rationally so they don't drive drunk, then they should also have that time to mature and think rationally so they can think for themselves
